Lost and Found 1: Coming to Past

This short film follows the journey of a woman lost in a new country, only to come upon memories of a time forgotten. A Community Arts Guild film, directed by Sean Frey and Sonja Rainey. Concept by Sean Frey and Beth Helmers, with vocals by Sharada Eswar, percussion by Sarma Donepudi, strings by Rebecca Bruton. Core performers: Sulogini Sothynathan, Pathma M, Paramesh, Yogeswary Kumarespasopathy, Nages Rajaratnam, Pathini Krishnamourthy, and the Storefront Tamil Seniors.

A Fool's Life

Sonja Rainey and I co-designed Ahuri Theatre's production of A Fool's Life, playing at The Theatre Centre. The play was directed by Dan Watson, work with the writing of Akutagawa Ryunosuke. Design work included set, costume, prop, puppet and projection design, as well as live performance of projections. Lighting Design - Andres Du Toit. Photos by Katherine Fleitas.

A Light in Midwinter

Here is a movie that I made with MABELLEarts, Winter 2010-11. This film chronicles the experiments with outdoor bread baking in Mabelle Park, a park situated at the heart of a high-density Toronto community housing complex in central Etobicoke. Produced by Leah Houston and MABELLEarts. Music by Elfin Saddle.
